General observations on just about anything.
The US will never fall from an external enemy, but...

Sometimes the words of the folks that want to destroy the very foundation of the US say it best.

Norman Thomas

In 2006 conservatives had to take a hard look at the direction Republicans were taking. Many didn't like it. Apparently Democrats learned nothing and have been hijacked under false pretenses.

Excerpts from the Communist Party of the USA http://cpusa.org/: (my emphasis in bold)

"Until we win enough support to change the system, communists call for radical reforms under capitalism. We call for nationalization of the banks, railroads, and industries like steel and auto. Everyone who wants to work should be guaranteed a job or get unemployment payments until she/he can find a job. We say put the unemployed to work at union wages on massive public works programs to rebuild our cities, provide affordable housing for the homeless, build mass transit, and clean up the environment!"

"Communists helped organize the great industrial unions including steel, meatpacking and auto. Communists were pioneers in the 1930s in the fight for Social Security, unemployment compensation, the 8-hour day and the 40-hour week. Communists were among those who developed militant direct action tactics - such as the sit-down strikes that helped win unionization of the auto industry."

"In the Korean War and early days of the war in Vietnam, Communists were among the few who openly opposed the war. Their pioneering work helped build a huge peace movement."

"We believe that the broad participation of working people in every area of life is the gateway to a more just and humane future. Socialism offers the best environment for democracy to fully flourish because it sharply limits the power of corporations to dominate politics and the economy. Socialism's democratic potential can only be realized, however, if broad sections of the people are wholeheartedly engaged in every aspect of society's decision-making processes."

Now if you are a Democrat and many of the concepts above sound reasonable to you, then Mr. Thomas was correct in his statement. So my question to true Democrats is "Once the socialist utopia is achieved un the US, and moderate Democrats are the new far-right, what day will you point back to as the day it all started?"

I do find it fascinating that many American families came here to escape European idiosyncrasies. The effort for these pioneers was hard work, not for the weak, timid, or lazy. Now their descendants struggle to recreate Europe, the place their ancestors had enough of. Pity, there are no new frontiers left to escape to.

Im thinking that since the President does not what a moon base we should go there to escape him.

It is not that bad really, The Europeans survived. oh wait that was with our help.

It was not a surprise at all.  I know the media hyped it I guess for ratings, but the only thing that was undecided was by how many it would pass.  As Phyllis Schlaffly said, the myth of the Pro Life democrat has been exposed for the sham it is.

LOL you know Pal, two years ago if someone told me what has happened now would occur, I would have said that was science fiction. So you never know. But no matter where one goes, once the hard work is done, those that want what you have always seem to show up with their hand out.

No, no surprise at all. If anything it reinforces what most everyone all ready knows... special deals trump beliefs everyday in Washington DC.

This is very troubling to a person such as myself. Half my military career as a cold warrior, and now, the deeper I look, the more parallels I see to the exact same thing I and millions before me fought to keep from happening, are occurring, gleefully in some cases, within the very borders of the US.

with friends like these who needs enemies?  We're doing quite the job on ourself with no outside help.  This is definitely a house divided these days.  How can we stand?

Every chance I get to connect the dots to what is festering under the surface of these liberal initiatives, I will. I began on my previous blog with that March 4th student protest, Unfortunately the servers trashed 2/3rds of the comments there.

For the most part, I have stayed out of the American Policial scene since my return.  Not out of a lack of material, but because of an over abundance (there are just so many morons around), and a lack of time.  I will definitely be following your blogs to remind me that there is still hope for this country,.

Well I can only write about it here, it's really for my own piece of mind, because I'm tired of just watching it happen. It really doesn't bring me any pleasure. I have Aunts and Uncles that are die-hard Democrats and I don't believe for a moment that they would want the US to become socialist, yet they are oblivious to what is happening. I'm not going to convince them or any other Democrat, it's going to have to be Democrats that expose it.

I have to hand it to Al Sharpton. He came right (for once) and said the truth.

“First of all, then we have to say the American public overwhelmingly voted for socialism when they elected President Obama,” Sharpton said. “Let’s not act as though the president didn’t tell the American people – the president offered the American people health reform when he ran. He was overwhelmingly elected running on that and he has delivered what he promised.”

I like Dingel's statement better:

"it takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps that have to be taken to put the legislation together to control the people".

These progressives are getting bolder each day. I am glad they are coming out of the shadows, it's the only way the people can listen and determine how they want to go.
